A long company history
SGA has designed and manufactured custom mixed-signal ASICs since 1986. Starting with gate array technology, progressing to analogue arrays, and eventually arriving at today’s mixed-signal full-custom ASIC, our aim to develop and manufacture best possible customized components for our customers has always been our driving factor.
Often, when we start working with a new customer, there is a vague product idea. Through a close and iterative dialogue with the customer, we aim to design a solution that exceeds expectations. Our motto says, “try to understand the customer application better than the customer.” This mindset has enabled us to help our customers develop state-of-the-art products that make them the best in the world in their respective areas.
SGA has supplied ASICs to customers since 1986. Regardless of die size and I/O requirements we have the ASIC and packaging solution for you. Delivering millions of units per year we are also well-equipped to manage and deliver to your volume needs.
SGA works with well-established suppliers in the industry. We have worked with most of our wafer fab and packaging partners for over a decade. These long-standing relationships help ensure a smooth and predictable world-class supply chain. This paired with our in-house testing facilities ensures that we keep our promises and deliver what you need!
Svenska Grindmatriser AB (SGA) is a fabless manufacturer of analog integrated circuits. Components from SGA are custom designed for their specific applications. This is what we call Specific Components™.
Our success relies on being the best to understand each customer’s application-specific needs and to provide a long-term supply of Specific Components™. We offer a safe, and well-supported development and production flow together with a quality management system where continuous improvements ensure a satisfied customer and mutual profitability.
The quality and the strive the pursuit of excellence in every aspect of our company are in our culture, and we pride ourselves in being an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015 certified company.SGA designs and manages full production of the ASICs. We manage wafer manufacturing, packaging, and test. We normally align our production with our customer’s forecasts. While production is ongoing, our customers can usually buy components as they need them without ordering entire batches at a time.
We design the components and we support the products during their entire life cycle.
A long-term supplier
In the fast-evolving semiconductor industry, end-of-life (EOL) and last-time-buy (LTB) situations are not uncommon. As an ASIC supplier, SGA takes pride in staying with our customers for the long haul. We have for example successfully managed customer lifecycles for products integrated into transportation infrastructure, where product life cycles will reach at least 20-30 years.
Also, for many customers, we have over the years designed and manufactured several ASIC generations, enabling a successful product roadmap with continued support and improved performance requirements.
Our experienced team
We are proud of the fact that many of our employees have chosen to stay with the company for close to 20 years. Combined with new talents that bring experience and knowledge from other companies in the industry, SGA hosts a world-class team with extensive experience in the design and production of high-end ASICs.
The management team also adds long experience from SGA and industry experience from other companies.
